CATHARINA’S, THE RESTAURANT AT STEENBERG SERVES UP WINTER WARMER TASTE SENSATIONS

Landmark Cape Town fine dining restaurant Catharina’s at Steenberg, will once again serve up its famed fireside ‘Winter Warmers’ during the chilly months. Much anticipated by diners from across the city, these provide an excellent value, gourmet dining indulgence from 1st of April onwards (until 30 September).
Catharina’s Winter Warmer menus offer select dishes from Executive Chef Garth Almazan’s inspired á la carte menu, with a choice of a 2-course set menu lunch at R165, 3-course lunch at R195, and a 3-course dinner at R215.
While Starters include vegetarian choices such as a delicious Winter Truffle Risotto with Sauté wild mushrooms, asparagus, micro greens, crispy cubed potatoes and parmesan foam; a Roast Line fish with Fennel puree, prawn ravioli, grilled baby scallops, tomato, chive and olive salsa and a Char-grilled Chalmar Beef Sirloin with gratin potato, sauté baby spinach, wild mushroom tart, slow baked plum tomato and beef jus are two of the hearty Main course options. Among the decadent dessert options are a Lemongrass and Coconut Panna Cotta served with grilled pineapple, caramel and granadilla semi freddo to linger deliciously on the palate. Winter Warmers at Catharina’s include a complimentary glass of Klein Steenberg wine.
