CELEBRATE YOUR HERITAGE AT THE LABORIE LAZY DAYS MARKET 24 SEPTEMBER 2011

Celebrate your heritage and National Braai Day on Saturday, 24 September at the popular Laborie Lazy Days Market, situated at the award-winning Laborie Wine Farm in the heart of the Paarl Winelands. In keeping with the theme visitors will have the opportunity to ‘Buy ‘n Braai’ whereby you can purchase your braai meat and have it prepared for you whilst leisurely browsing the stalls.
Well known chef, Duncan Doherty, will be lending his hand by braaing steak rolls or your meat for you. A percentage of all proceeds raised from his ‘dash of flavour’ will be donated to a local charity in Paarl. A selection of other braai offerings will also be on offer, which includes boerewors rolls and hamburgers, seafood and sosaties.
Heritage day at Laborie
Award-winning wines from Laborie, the perfect partner to this much loved South African dish, will also be available to purchase and enjoy on the day.
Less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town this laid back market offers visitors an exciting and varied selection of lifestyle goods. These range from freshly baked breads, delicious confectionary, aromatic coffee, cheese, olives, charcuterie and other exciting local produce exhibitors. To ensure that there is something for everyone, the food stalls are interspersed with an array of arts and craft stalls and ample kiddies’ entertainment, with live music from Newton. A wide a selection of international and local beers will also be on offer at the market.
Laborie produces some of the best Methode Cape Classic bubblies, an array of award-winning wines as well as an estate brandy. Visitors to the estate can overnight in the luxurious guest house or enjoy a delicious meal at the Laborie Restaurant.
The market hours will be extended for this special occasion and will be open from 09h00 until 14h00.
