Franschhoek’s 5-star Mont Rochelle Hotel & Mountain Vineyards is offering an ideal choice for Mother’s Day on Sunday, 8 May, inviting you to treat the most important woman in your life with a special outing and leisurely lunch in the heart of the Cape Winelands.
Two distinct epicurean Mother’s Day experiences will be on offer at Mont Rochelle. At fine dining restaurant Mange Tout with its wrap around views of the valley, a 3-course set menu lunch will showcase the world-class cuisine presented here, while a lighter 3-course set menu lunch may be served al fresco in the magical vineyard setting of cellar door restaurant, the Country Kitchen.
At the Country Kitchen chef Joslin Hawker will dish up a culinary feast starting with Cured Franschhoek Trout, Apples, micro greens and beetroot Gazpacho, followed by Roast Pork Neck and Roasted Turkey with Seasonal Vegetables and Roast Potatoes, and a melt-in-the-mouth Blueberry Compote to celebrate this special occasion. Providing the perfect opportunity to be spoiled with a taste of traditional French cooking with a contemporary twist, the 3-course set Mother’s Day lunch menu at Mange Tout (R250 per person) will entice guests with Exotic Mushroom Risotto with Parmesan emulsion & Toasted Pine kernels; followed by Roasted Lemon & Thyme Baby Chicken perfectly matched with Roasted Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables; and concluding on a mouth-watering note with Tiramisu Dessert with Mascarpone Mousse, Coffee and Savoiardi Ice Cream.
