Stellenbosch Wine Week vertical tasting at The House of J.C. Le Roux (22 – 31 July 2011)
Devoted entirely to producing fine sparkling wines, The House of J.C. Le Roux is offering you the rare opportunity of tasting with an exclusive tasting of three different vintages of their flagship Scintilla Cap Classique paired with a variety of delicious treats. This singular tasting takes place in the luxurious Scintilla Lounge at The House of J.C. Le Roux, situated in the heart of the picturesque Devon Valley from 25 – 29 July during Stellenbosch Wine Week. This week of winelands hospitality and cellar door attractions is an extension of the 10th Stellenbosch Wine Festival to be held at Paul Roos Centre from 28 to 31 July again this year.
Scintilla Vertical Tasting
The 2001 Scintilla will be paired with a fresh West Coast oyster, the 2002 vintage will be served with a delightful bobotie truffle and the latest vintage, Scintilla 2003, will be presented with a delicate Lemon Chiffon pastry.
This tasting will be offered three times a day during Wine Week only at R120 per person and will run at 10h00, 12h00 and 14h00. Dedicated Cellarmaster Elunda Basson, will be presenting the 12h00 timeslot. Bookings are essential, so be sure not to miss out on this exclusive flagship Cap Classique tasting. Marius Malan grew up on their family farm, Staart van Paardeberg, on the foothills of the Paardeberg Mountains. Grape growing and producing wine run in the family and it was always Marius's dream to become a winemaker. After graduation at Elsenburg in 2005, Marius worked as assistant winemaker and viticulturist at Uva Mira, thereafter joined Slaley as chief winemaker and viticulturist. Read more...
