In a delicious melding of contrasts, Neethlingshof Estate in Stellenbosch is offering visitors a novel pairing called Slow Wine and Flash Food that combines a range of its slow-made, hand-crafted wines with a new and original interpretation of fast foods. Six wines selected from the reserve and estate tiers are paired with six gourmet food-on-the-go options from spring rolls, noodles and wraps to steak rolls and waffles. “We’ve added provocative, exciting and unusual touches to classic fast food favourites and matched them with wines in an accessible but really interesting way,” says Deidre Samson of Cape Legends, whose portfolio includes the wines of the famous 17th century Stellenbosch estate.
