Cape Wine 2012
25–27 September 2012 Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC): Wine buyers, trade visitors and journalists from around the world meet with local wineries to establish relationships and discuss opportunities in the wine industry. This is not your typical wine show and allows the trade to interact one-on-one with winery owners and winemakers. With just more than 330 wineries showcasing their best, from the big producers to the boutique wine estate, the trade was spoilt for choice.Reduce – Re-use – Recycle. Wines of South Africa (WOSA) made #CapeWine2012 and Vindaba a green event; innovative re-usable stands built of recycled materials, delegates will be able to offset their carbon footprint by buying trees, fewer vehicles were used, accommodation booked at hotels with green policies in place, choice of venue, cups and spittoons made from recyclable material to name a few.
This was a top wine event; from the opening function held at The Lookout in the V&A Waterfront to the actual trade show at the CTICC. Exceptional wine, a great management team and a jam-packed programme all contributed to the success. Well done to Su Birch, Andre Morgenthal and the rest of the WOSA team
