The beautfiul Backsberg Estate gardens are home to The Backsberg Restaurant – an a la carte restaurant which offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant serves lunch daily from Monday to Sunday and is open 365 days a year. Our speciality is the traditional South African lamb on the spit – served with our famous roast potatoes and followed by our chef Linda's delicious chocolate roulade. The menu offers a variety of other items, as well as a comprehensive wine list from our winery. We also have a children's menu for children under 12 years.On Sundays we have a 3 course set menu, consisting of starters, lamb on the spit with a buffet of salads, and dessert. The mellow sounds of singer and guitarist Guy Feldman, will form the perfect accomapiment to your meal. Tickets are R170, please book to avoid disappointment. Our restaurant is often host to special events and we do cater for private parties and functions as well. There is ample room both inside and outside the restaurant to ensure fine wine and dining in all weather conditions.
