Bottle, Plate and Pillow was built by wine lovers, for wine lovers. Whether you are a wine newbie, or a tasting fundi, Bottle, Plate and Pillow believes that exploring South Africa’s beautiful winelands should be simple, affordable, and accessible to everyone.

It is all about wineries, and only about wineries!

If you are wanting to go wine tasting (BOTTLE), eat out on a wine farm (PLATE), or spend a night in the winelands (PILLOW) – all the information you need is right at your finger tips with Bottle, Plate and Pillow.

And because we also get irritated with having to wade through all sorts of unrelated advertising to get the information we are looking for, we promise to keep the site 100% focused on wine, and the culture and hospitality associated with wineries.

Bottle, Plate and Pillow is a free wine farm directory for all wineries. Not all farms, restaurants and accommodation will have a detailed results page yet; they need to subscribe to the service for that. Help us get wine farms to sign up by voting for your favourites by clicking on the icon next to the winery, restaurant or hotel’s basic listing.

Basic listings: Every time a search is done via a Wine region, you will find all the full listings on top followed by the basic listings. Click on "Show basic listings." This will give the user a alphabetical list of wineries, a link to their website, Contact number and an email link. Also, find the quick search on the top right of the main page: "Basic Contact Details". This will take you directly to the basic contact details.

Simply make your selection and hit GO. When the search results are delivered, click on the winery name you are interested in for more info. Don’t forget to also vote for the wineries that only have basic listings!

Good day and welcome to this exciting extension to Bottle, Plate and Pillow

wineTube is fun and easy to use. View, add and upload wine clips with the greatest of ease. Rate the wine clips and share wine clips with your friends.

 

How to access the wine clips: www.bottleplatepillow.co.za or www.winetube.co.za   Click on the wineTube logo.

    

Functionality of wineTube:  You will be able to VIEW, ADD and UPLOAD wine clips

• View: (No registration required)  Simply click on the thumbnail of any wine clip to view. You can also use SEARCH to find clips on a specific winery
• Add: (Registration required). "Add" will be used when a wine clip is already uploaded to e.g. YouTube. Copy the URL of the wine clip in YouTube (Including the http://) and paste it to the area provided in wineTube. Read and agree to the disclaimer and "Apply". The clip details will populate. Please verify details and ensure the name of the winery is in the Title and the Tags field. Also change the Category to 3rd Party Clips.
• Upload: (Registration required). Wine Clips produced by YOU... Video clips MUST feature South African Wine!  It is all about your experience at a Winery, a Wine farm restaurant or Wine farm sleep over.  Your personal wine review, a wine tour or any wine product or service. Select the file to be uploaded, and click on "Upload". The file will be uploaded to our server for convertion. Please be patient. (Uploads to a server takes more time then a download). The moment you click on "Upload", you will find a details section. Please complete. Category - Choose User Uploads. Video Title - ALWAYS use the wineries name in your title (To improve SEARCH). Video description - Tell us the Who, why, where and when. Tags - This helps to find your clip when search is used  (also see Up-loadable extensions and Disclaimer on the upload page)
