The countdown to showcase South Africa’s leading brandy producers at two prestigious events in Cape Town and Johannesburg has begun. Fine Brandy Fusion merges the smooth and exciting with the thrill of South Africa’s favourite spirit, now supercharged for 2014. The show comes to the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 22 to 23 May and the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 5 and 6 June.
Fine Brandy Fusion presents fifty (50) of the best South African brandies from the finest distillers in the country. The show is part entertainment and part education. Master classes will take place every hour with the chance to meet the world acclaimed brandy masters and taste brandies of up to 30 years old. Experience exquisite food and brandy pairings, including artisanal chocolate and brandy pairings. The recently launched Urban Brandy Cocktail Route will be showcased at the cocktail bar with unique cocktails to satisfy the most demanding palette. Be entertained by sophisticated live music.
Rocking to the beat again as MC at both events will be hit South African rapper ProVerb, who appreciates brandy almost as much as his music. Standard Bank renews its support for these events, returning as its main backer and confirming their support to this pivotal South African industry.
Fine Brandy Fusion gives you the chance to join those in the know, sipping and learning about the amber liquid that has enthralled the world. South African brandies have beaten off challengers in all the most important international competitions and continue to bring home the gold medals.
Hit the floor in Jozi or the Mother City to try something new and fun at the Fusion Cocktail Bar, or attend a master class to discover what goes into the making of a fine and happening brandy.
