Die Bergkelder, home to award winning Fleur du Cap wines, offers visitors an intimate experience with the wines and their origins in the famous “cellar in the mountain”.

Cut deep into the slopes of the Papegaaiberg on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, Die Bergkelder invites you to amble freely through the tranquil cellar spaces during tours and tastings.

Carved oak barrels in the vaulted Fleur du Cap Room depict the history of South African winemaking. The Laszlo Room, dedicated to the visionary cellarmaster Dr Julius Laszlo, who played a pivotal role in changing the face of the South African wine industry during the 80’s, takes pride of place for private tastings. To continue your walk down memory lane, visit the Wine Museum located next to the Fine Wine Shop.
