STEENBERG VINEYARDS OFFERS BARRELS OF FUN DURING (17-23 OCT)

‘SPRING IT ON CONSTANTIA’ WEEK UNTIL 24 OCTOBER 2010

Steenberg Vineyards in the Constantia Valley will be transformed into a hub of activity during ‘Spring it on Constantia’ Week, which takes place until 24 October (2010). A fun-filled programme offers outings for the whole family, with activities ranging from Gourmet Picnics to a Food and Wine Pairing Master Class, and a Fun Run thrown in for good measure.

For those with a penchant for good food, fine wine and loads of fun, the Steenburger Shootout provides an evening of culinary theatre and the opportunity to watch the three Steenberg resident chefs, Brad Ball (Bistro Sixteen82), Garth Almazan (Catharina’s), and Rob Heeger (Steenberg Golf Club) ‘live’ in action cooking their exclusive versions of the hamburger, in a bid for the title of ‘Steenburger King’.  Food lovers may also wish to indulge in a sociable evening of Tapas and Jazz in the serene setting of Bistro Sixteen82 while sipping a glass or two of Steenberg 1682 bubbly, or indulge in one of life’s delicious simple pleasures and join in a Gourmet Picnic on the lawns of the Steenberg Winery

It's happening at Steenberg!

For wine aficionados there is a casket of delights, starting with Katinka van Niekerk’s Food & Wine Pairing Master Class, through to a Wine Blending Workshop, and an International Sauvignon Blanc Tasting of the best Sauvignon Blanc’s around the world, hosted by Steenberg winemaker JD Pretorius.

Come and celebrate ‘Spring it on Constantia’ and experience the magic and warm hospitality of this working wine farm in the heart of the Constantia Wine Valley. Then make your way through ‘Cape Town’s Vineyard’ for a taste of what’s on offer at Wine Farms, Hotels, Guest Houses and Restaurants throughout the valley.
